Albums Used

Ever since I have been scrapbooking I have always used Creative Memories Albums. I have never used a different album. Target is currently selling more scrapbooking products and one of the things that are now available are We R Memory Keepers Albums and page protectors. I figured that I would purchase a small album to start with. I ended up purchasing an 8×8 album that comes with the multi-page, page protectors and I also purchased 8×8 page protectors that hold a single 8×8 layout.

I still struggle with using multi-photo page protectors, I know that they are supposed to make scrapbooking easier for me but for some reason my mind just doesn’t work that way! I am hoping that I can train my mind to scrap with these multi-page, page protectors otherwise I am going to have to give them away!!!

I am looking forward to working with these alums and seeing if they work for me. It would be nice for a change but I will always use my creative memories albums as they are still my favorite. I am thinking that I might be able to fit more layouts into a We R Memory Keepers album though. Only time will tell!

What albums do you use? Do you use more then one brand of album?

  1. I bought the We R Memory Keepers 8×8 album from Target too! I’m using it for my December Daily book but I agree with you I struggle with the divided page protectors

    • I don’t think I will be using the divided page protectors again I just don’t feel like I can get my creative juices flowing with them :( I’m hoping to catch up with my December daily tomorrow!

  2. I have been using the albums from Stampin’Up! for quite a few years now. I have been very happy with them. They are albums of page protectors, and you just slide your completed page in. I like the fact I can move them around in my album if I want to.

I haven’t tried the type of protectors used for a Project Life style at this time, although I’m thinking I may give that a whirl for the coming year.

    • I have never tried the Stampin Up albums I have been very happy with my Creative Memories albums but I figured I would give something else a try for a change. My December Daily album has the project life type of protectors in it and I am struggling with it. I might give up on it but the Capricorn in me is telling me to stick with it!

      • Beth, I know what you mean…. it’s seems like such a good idea! Change is hard, especially if something you don’t really need to change! At least you’ll have an idea of how it worked for you and maybe you’ll be better able to guide others into what kind of scrapbooks will work best for them. My oldest daughter had about given up on scrapping until we did some smaller pages and now she can zip through pages in nothing flat. She really likes the 8×8 size.

        • I know exactly what you mean 12×12 layouts can be daunting for some people because it is so much space that needs to be filled up. I will defintely give these albums a try and see if I like them. Creative Memories will always be my favorite though. I love working with the smaller sizes too!! My little one loves to create scrapbook pages with me! Does your daughter scrapbook with you?
