All Ready for the Holiday Card Swap

Apparently I am just a card swap monster!! Theres something that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about sharing my creations with other people. For this holiday card swap I incorporated a few different things on this card. For one I didn’t make a standard card but I made an easel card. I then incorporated the christmas trees that I shared on a post a few weeks ago. You can find those christmas trees here. I also incorporated the sew easy tool on this card and some dry embossing.

The card was a ton of fun to make and I really enjoy working with Bazzill paper. This time for the card swap I had to send Bazzill $10 dollars because all the stores were sold out of the paper that was required to be used for the card swap. The paper that was needed was Timeless and Believe. I used the Believe 6×6 paper that they sent me to make the Christmas trees for my card. I also used Bazzill candy apple red on the card and Irish eyes dotted swiss for the card.

To make the easel card I cut the irish eyes dotted swiss into 4¼x8½ and scored the cardstock at 4¼ and 6³⁄8. Fold the card in half at the 4¼ and then fold the smaller piece that is scored up. You then add adhesive to that small area and place a piece of cardstock that is 4¼x4¼ on top of that . The candy apple red that I used on the card was cut at 2½x4x¼ and I embossed the red piece of cardstock with the sizzix embossing folder that had peace on it. I used the sew easy burst head so that I could have little snowflakes on it as well.

  2. These are darling! I love the folded trees and the “sew easy” snowflakes. That’s a lovely detail. The embossing is beautiful too!
