I have another tutorial for you sharing an art journal layout that I created in my mixed media travelers notebook insert. I am currently working in a standard size insert and I am loving it. I had recently purchased some sprays and a few other items from Lindy’s Stamp Gang for the first time and I had to immediately check these sprays out. I ended up spraying pages in my insert just to see what color they were and how much I liked them.
I created one layout using the napkins that come free with every purchase from my Etsy shop and I created a beautiful Spring Art Journal layout that you can see here. I know napkins may seem weird to use but let me tell you they make beautiful collage pieces. My favorite thing about napkins is that pretty much disappear into the background just like tissue paper does so you end up with a beautiful focal point on your art journal.
This next layout that I created I used a cut file from Wilna Furstenberg and you can see a tutorial on how I cut Wilna’s files with my Cricut Explore by clicking here. I usually cut a bunch of her files out at once and then I just have them lying around waiting to be used with my scrapbook layouts or art journal layouts.
I started off with a base of teal spray from Lindy’s Stamp Gang and then added a bunch of different paints to my layout that I coordinated with the cut file from Wilna. The end result was quite stunning if I do say so myself. I added some Golden Light Molding Paste which is my favorite texture paste because it’s so light and fluffy. Here is the tutorial for you to watch of how it all came together.
