If I  create an album for you this, I am sure that you would have tons of questions for me. I am going to try to answer some of those questions here and then if you have any other questions you can just give me a call or shoot me an email!

What Products Are Used?

The products that will be used for traditional albums will always be creative memories. I may use a few embellishments that are not creative memories products but that will only be on rare occasions. All creative memories products are acid and lignin free. Embellishments and papers/cardstock will match and will go with the theme of your pictures. Any product that may be used that is not a creative memories product will also be acid and lignin free as well. Digital albums will always be created with creative memories Storybook Software.

How Long Does A Project Take to Complete?

The length of time will depend on whether or not the project is traditional or digital. A traditional project can generally take 3-6 weeks depending on the amount of pictures that are going into the album as well as the album size. A digital project will take anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on the amount of pictures that are going to be used for the album.

Can I View The Pages Before The Project is Complete?

Of course you can view the project before the album is complete. With digital albums I can email you pages and you can inform me of any journaling boxes that you would like added and what information you would like added into the journaling box. Traditional album pages can be sent via email as well but not as regularly as digital album pages. Traditional album pages have to be created by hand and then pictures taken of the pages before they can be sent to you via email. Journaling boxes can be placed on traditional album pages so that you have the opportunity to tell your story! A digital journaling pen can be provided to you so that you may journal on your digital albums. Remember journaling is one of the most important parts of scrapbooking so that your story can be told.

How Many Pages and Pictures on Each Page?

An album can hold up to 35 pages in a book. Any more pages than that in an album can make the album to bulky and heavy to be enjoyable. Each page can usually hold up to 4-6 photos per page depending on how they are cropped. A smaller size album can hold about 1-4 photos per page depending on how the photos are cropped. Digital albums are priced at 20 pages per page. If you would like more pages in your digital album the cost per page will be $4 dollars for each additional page to be printed in your album.

What is Cropping and Journaling?

Cropping is cutting your picture to ensure that the main subject of that picture stands out. Sometimes cropping is done so that more photos can be placed on the page. Journaling is telling the story behind your photos. Journaling is sharing your memories about the photos and events that have occurred in your life. Journaling is what enables you to create a family history book! Journaling can be done via handwriting, a computer or your own handwriting.

Are Photos and Other embellishments permanently Mounted?

Yes once a layout page is complete those items are permanent on that page and the same goes for a digital album once the album is created and sent to for processing the album can’t be altered.

How Are Payments Made?

If I have been chosen to create your family scrapbook a deposit has to be made. The deposit amount is dependent on the size of the album. Upon completion of the album the remaining balance of the invoice has to be paid before the album will be released to you. Payments can be made via Paypal.

What Should I Bring for our Consultation Meeting?

For the consultation meeting please bring all photos that you would like placed into your album. Even bring pictures that you are not quite sure about that you might want to be placed into the album. Bring any memorabilia that you would like placed into the album such as tickets, receipts, cards, postcards, napkins, etc. that you may want in the album. For a digital album you will need to bring a usb drive or a cd with the pictures that you would like in the album. You can bring any memorabilia that you might like in the album as well which I can scan for you to place in the album. If you are doing a digital album you can mail me your disk or usb drive as well. Digital and traditional album pictures can also be mailed to me.
