The June stamp of the month is absolutely adorable and I had a ton of fun making this card. I gave it to my daughter and told her how proud I am of her doing such a good job in first grade this year. This card was created in sections because I have limited time to get things done.
In the morning I stamped my little ice cream truck and just let the Memento ink dry throughout the day so that it would be ready for coloring by the time I got home.
Isn’t this little ice cream truck adorable!? I was really excited about it and during my lunch break, at work, I sketched out a little card to make. I kept it fairly simple because I wanted the stamps to shine in all their colored glory.
I first stamped my sentiment and then I added that pretty strip of glitter tape (I love the CTMH glitter tape). Next I lined up my little ice creams on the top and then grabbed a big acrylic block that they would all fit on at the same time. Everything was stamped with Memento black ink and I heat set everything with my heat gun so that I could color the images with my Copics.
After I finished coloring I fussy cut my original ice cream truck that I had colored earlier and added foam adhesive to the back of it. Of course my Copics were showing through to the inside of the card so I grabbed one of my 6×6 paper pads and cut down a piece of paper to 4.25 by 5.25 to cover the bleed through from coloring the ice creams on the front.
The card was so simple and very relaxing to make as all I really did was stamp and color and I love to color.
