AM/PM Story

The first story kit that I got from Ali Edwards subscription was the AM/PM story and I was basically supposed to document my morning and evening. Which I did of course and I finally got around to creating the layouts. I used White Daisy cardstock from Close To My Heart and a black Bazzil cardstock because I was out of black Close To My Heart paper.

The white paper I created my AM story and the black paper was used to create my PM story. I have to admit that I really enjoyed creating these layouts and telling the story about our morning and evening routines. That is what I like most about these story kits, I tell stories that I never would have told before. I had so much to tell that I even created a pocket page to go along with my AM/PM story.

Scrapbooking Preschool

We all get them and we all love them! I am talking about those school photos that we get of our babies every school year. I used Close To My Heart Zoe paper and complements and decided to add a little more creativity with y layout with some modeling paste! I even dyed my modeling paste which was a first for me.

I used the larger sized wallet photos and a 5×7  that you get in the package of photos and laid them out in a grid format. I was going to place the photos on a piece of patterned paper but my photos were not standing out enough for me and I did not want to add photo mats to my photos so I went with a white background using Close To My Hearts white daisy paper, which is perfect for mixed media I might add!

After I had laid my photos out into a grid layout I realized that I needed something to fill out the grid. I had tried some of the other patterned papers that came with the Zoe paper pack but I didn’t like any of them. I decided to use some light molding paste and one of Tim Holtz stencils. I died my molding paste with some green acrylic paint. I added some stickers and vellum embellishments that come with the Zoe complements along with the green triangles. After all was said and done I matted the entire layout on a piece of patterened paper.

Interactive Flip Card

Not to long ago I saw this great tutorial at my Sisters Scrapper (you can watch the video here) and I thought that the card would be perfect for my honey.

I grabbed the Zoe paper and a piece of cardstock and got to work. I have to admit it was real quick to put the card together especially since I have the Zoe complements as well. I added some stamping and before I knew it my card was done and ready to be given to my honey.
