Sew Easy Review

Last week I posted about the We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy that I became very intrigued about. I finally got a chance to play with it and I must say that I really like it. I don’t know what it is about crafts that seem to relax me so but all crafting just gives me that warm fuzzy feeling all over!

Back to the Sew Easy I bought the starter kit from Amazon and it comes with 5 different heads, 8 different colors of floss, a small piercing mat, and the needle. I must say that I really enjoyed playing around with it. I only had a little time to play with it and I plan on playing with it some more this weekend.

I will say that I recommend getting the larger piercing mat if you want to use the sew easy on 12×12 layouts. The small piercing mat is great for smaller layouts and cards but I found that I struggled with trying to line up the sew easy after I had rolled out some of my pattern and needed to continue on a larger piece of paper.

There are so many different heads that you can purchase for the sew easy. I will definitely be purchasing some more once I get used to using the ones that I got with the starter kit.

What are your thoughts on the Sew Easy? Do you stitch on your layouts?

The scrapbook store where I work carries them. It’s Across Time and Page in Wichita, Kansas. I would think most scrapbook stores would carry them. Archivers has the products listed under Crafting Tools: Other Crafting Tools on their website.

      Hey Marcia,
The Sew Easy really does make it easy to sew, LOL that is such a corny line right there! I am going to have to check out these templates you are talking about. Where do you get them from?

I love how stitching looks on cards and layouts but I always seem to think of it after I’m done! I do love my Sew Easy though. The Sew Ribbon is a lot of fun, too.

Great review! Saw your post on Twitter!

      Hi Becky,
I have that problem with all of my embellishments. The order that I scrap in means that I generally forget about embellishments until everything is already on the layout. I am working on scrapping in a different manner by trying to coordinate everything, including if I want to stitch or not on a layout before I adhere all my stuff. I will have to check out the Sew Ribbon soon! I’m so glad that you stopped in from Twitter Land!
