It’s been a while since I shared with you some of the reasons why I love Close To My Heart so much. The company is amazing to work for and the incentives are wonderful but what I really love about Close To My Heart is how easy they make it to create cards or scrapbooking layouts with their workshops on the go. Last year I created my Christmas cards with a card making workshop (you can see my Christmas cards here) and then this year I fell in love with the Blossom paper and I just had to grab the workshop on the go.
I love that the workshops on the go give you all the directions and that you can make the cards or layouts exactly as they are shown or you can customize them. I grabbed the Blossom kit and got to work a few nights ago. I always start these kits by cutting out all the paper that I need to make all the cards. The card workshops on the go are created for you to be able to create 15 cards using 3 different designs. I am not a card maker and always struggle with creating cards so I am one of those people who literally follow all the directions and then I am shocked by the beautiful cards that I have created.
I now have 15 birthday cards all ready to go which is great for me because I am always stuck at the very last-minute looking for a card. Five of the cards could actually be a card that you use to just send off to a friend as a just because card.
Another thing that I love about Close To My Heart is that everything is made to coordinate. All the papers coordinate with the ink and embellishments that Close To My Heart sells. I love that I don’t have to think about which color ink to stamp my images with because the workshop instructions tell me what color inks I need and what color to stamp all of the images.
The embellishments are awesome as well, especially the sequins. I love sequins but I hate having to add glue to them but Close To My Heart sequins come with glue dots already on them so all I have to do is stick them on! I can’t even begin to tell you how happy this makes me because I really hate adding multi medium to my sequins in order to get them to stick even though multi medium rocks it’s the whole aspect of getting messing with glue and trying to figure out a way to get them stuck to my paper.
Now that I am done ranting about having to glue non Close To My Heart sequins to my projects, here are the cards that I made.
You can grab this workshop on the go until August 31st, after that it will be retired since the new catalog for Close To My Heart will be available September 1st. Click HERE to grab the Blossom Workshop on the go now. Do you like following instructions to make your cards or scrapbook layouts?
