Today was another easy day for me and I am really sticking with the foundation pages that I made ahead of time. I didn’t necessairly have a story that spoke to me today so I told the story about my mini me buying gifts for me and her grandmother at the holiday shop at school and then I wrote her a letter. I loved the idea of writing a letter to my kids and I plan on writing one to the boys as well but I figured since I was sharing a photo that was specific to my little girl this was the perfect day to write her a letter.
I also have to share that I am in love with these pens that Amy Tangerine suggested on her YouTube channel from Jet Pens. These pens write like a butter and are definitely my new favorite pen. I purchased the three sizes extra fine, fine, and bold and I love all of them.
Enough about pens, let’s get back to my layout for the day. I took a photo of the gifts that my daughter purchased and I did a little editing in the Aviary app which is simply amazing and free. There are so many free edits that are available through the app like stickers, overlays, frames and effects. I highly suggest you check the app out. I did some embossing on one of the cards that I had in the album already and I grabbed some of the white pines cards from Close To My Heart. I did a bit of journaling, stamped with my roller stamp on the bottom of my card, wrote my letter and added some magnets to the envelope that I had premade a few days ago. I also added one of the big chipboard letters to my envelope which is the initial for my daughters name.
