I am so excited to now be selling Travelers Notebook inserts on Etsy! I adore travelers notebooks and I saw that there was a need for inserts that are just plain white and that can handle whatever it is that you want to throw at them. These notebooks can be decorated everywhere! The covers can be decorated as well as the entire inside. I have made these notebooks so that you can do whatever makes your heart happy, whether that is watercolors, acrylics or both!
I have two different types of inserts available in my shop, one insert is made with mixed media paper and the other insert is made with Tomoe River paper, which is very thin paper that is absolutely amazing as I have never seen paper like this before. The Tomoe River paper is the same paper that is used in the Hobonichi planners and it has a very minimal bleed through effect.
You can find my Etsy shop by clicking here and I look forward to meeting your travelers notebook insert needs!
I have also created this short video so that you can see how amazing the Tomoe River paper is and how the inserts appear!
I am so happy that I am a part of the SpiegelMom Scraps design team so that I can be a part of these amazing teams ups. This month we are teaming up with Accent Scrapbooking and I got to work with some gorgeous flair. The team decided to use a beautiful sketch from Laura Whitaker and I think that I am going to be using this sketch again in the very near future.
Isn’t this sketch gorgeous. My favorite thing was using the 8 inch doily from the SpiegelMom Scraps shop. The other things that I used from the shop were the glassine bags and the tags. I honestly can’t say which of these items makes me happier. The tags were so fun to use with my stencil and paint because they held up so well to the paint, meaning they didn’t buckle or warp at all.
The flair from accent scrapbooking is gorgeous and it went so perfectly with my photo because my photo itself had a ton of purple in it. I don’t usually scrap with purple but for this layout I think it came out great and I love how all the different shades of purple looked on my layout.
All the other materials that I used for this layout came from my January stash kit that I created for this month. I have almost used up all the papers from this kit and I think that I am going to finish out this kit through this week and then make my February kit since I am so close to using up all the elements that I chose for this kit. Enough about this layout, you can watch the process video here and make sure to hop along with us!

I have been a part of Tina Walker’s amazing art challenges as much as I can because the team ups that she puts together are just amazing. I joined the Iceland inspired art challenge but as the group of people that joined the challenge was quite large we decided to make the share date of our projects in the new year.
The challenge was definitely a challenge for me because I could not figure out how to recreate the colors of Iceland. All the photos are just so stunning and I have never been to Iceland, which made it even harder for me to recreate this project.
Just look at these colors! It was so hard for me to figure out how to recreate something like this. I ended up using spray inks from Shimmerz, Dylusions and Prima to create my final result. You can see the full tutorial in the video below of how this creation came about. A whole lot of song and dance happened with my spray inks and heat gun that’s for sure.
Here are some close ups and a full product list below!
I hope you all have been having a wonderful weekend and that you have been having lots of crafty time or making memories time this weekend. For today’s hop theme it is all about mixed media and the brand new cork embellishments that are available in the SpiegelMoms Scraps Shop and let me tell you these cork embellishments are amazing as well as all the new sequin mixes. I have to say before I share my project with you that you are going to have to wait to see the final look because my DT package came late Saturday afternoon so I didn’t have enough to complete my canvas. You should have arrived here from Bonita Rose, wasn’t her project just amazing.
I will say that I am very happy with the way that it is looking and the reason why I decided to create a canvas this month is because I am moving and I figured that a new canvas to hang up in my new house for the Fall Season would be the way to go.
