Planner are everywhere these days it seems and of course I had to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon. It was a toss up for me on whether or not I wanted the Passion Planner or the Erin Condren planner. I opted for the Erin Condren planner for the simple fact that I could get it before the new year and I wanted to have my planner in my hands by January 1st.
I also watched this great video by Jennifer McGuire and she ended up selling me on the Erin Condren planner, you can watch her video here. I adopted a lot of the tricks that she shared that she does with her planner for my planner such as changing the break up of my day into work, personal and to do instead of listing it as morning, noon and night. I am working on making this planner work for me and have been really enjoying it since I got it.
I have been using my Close To My Heart inks and Memento inks to customize my planner along with the Year Noted stamp set from CTMH and the Waffle Flower stamp set that Jennifer McGuire suggested. I really enjoy finding the inks that match the planner as well as stamping my little check boxes for my work stuff and my to do lists. During the month of February I haven’t been using it as much because I have been way to busy with becoming a new teacher but it is a must for me to get back to using it. When I am not using my planner on a daily basis I start to feel lost.
I have not decided if I am going to use my planner for teaching stuff yet but I think at this point I would really like to keep the teaching side of things sepearate. I have checked out the lesson plan, planner that Erin Condren sells but I am not sure that I want that either, so for now I am sticking with my planner and only using it for my personal needs.
I created this short video just sharing with you the inside of my planner and how I use it.
Do you use a planner and if so which one and how do you use it?
