This year it took me a while to hear what my word was going to be. I originally thought that my word was going to be Time but then I started feeling like the word was to plain and that maybe it didn’t speak enough for what I wanted this year but the more I thought about it and the more time I spent meditating on the word I decided that this was the word for me this year.
The real clincher for me was when I finally had the time to get some bible journaling done and I went back to where I had left off with one of Rebekah Jones’s tutorial that was in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. This journal entry took me quite a bit of time to finish and when I was finally done I was happy with the way that it turned out and with the time that I had spent with the Lord.
It was then that I realized TIME is my word for 2016 and I am going to embrace this word. I have been complaining about my time management skills for far to long and now it is time to really keep track of where and how I am spending time. I know that I will be more successful if I figure out how and where I am spending my time. Last year my word was Create and I think I did really well with the word and had a ton of fun getting creative so I know that by taking Ali Edwards class again this year my word will be kept at the forefront and will be included in my daily life.
In the past years that I have chosen a word I wold chose it and just forget about it but with Ali’s class last year my word really became a part of me and my life. I have also found a bible plan that is really cool in the Holy Bible app. I plan to journal my way through this plan as well to ensure that my TIME is well spent this year. I created some word art for myself on my phone using the word pack app and I will probably create a nice wall paper for myself before the end of the week.
The first one I created is in the shape of a house to symbolize the fact that I want to ensure that I spend more quality time with the family as well as on myself. I believe that if I actually take the time to take care of myself this year that I will feel better emotionally, mentally and spiritually which in turn will allow me to spend time with the family and have fun with the kids.
The next one I created was a circle to symbolize that time is never-ending but it can be lost and I can lose time by not spending my time in the best ways that work for me.
I wish you all a Happy New Year and Blessings for 2016 I am looking forward to creating more for you and sharing brand new classes with you this year!
Have you chosen your word for 2016, and how are you going to incorporate it into your life?
