Instead of creating entries on a hard copy scrapbook by pasting and cutting photos, this process allows you to utilize the latest technology to build a colorful and stunning photo collage entries easily. As the world turns mobile, our usual hobby becomes virtually available. Being creative is a lot easier with the help of our devices: PCs, laptops, tablets and Smartphones. Mobile devices are now equipped with high-megapixel cameras and photo editing apps such as Instagram making scrapbooking easier even when you’re away from your home.

Previously, we have discussed ways in how to print Instagram photos on your home printer. With the help of the Eurosmartz software, your iPhone, iPad, and Android Smartphone and tablet can now connect to your computer in order for it to print the 4×4 Instagram image. You can also print photos on the Cannon Selphy which we also covered before.

Instagram may offer you various filters and basic frames you can include in your photo, but it’s not really the scrapbook look we are looking for. You will still need to download an app such as Coolibah. Very easy to use, this free application offers you more than 17 kits and hundreds of various themes to choose from. It allows you to create your own layout using frames and texts, add drop shadows on images, build unlimited albums and pages, and view your images through slideshow mode. The app is also integrated into social media platforms making it easier to share scrapbook artworks on your Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr page. Coolibah works best with high resolution images from the iPhone. You can watch the Coolibah tutorial below.

Another scrapbooking app for mobile is Scrapbooker for the iPhone. Developed by the BlueShift Software, this application allows you to create a list of your supplies and equipment inventory to avoid making duplicate purchases. You can input two images per supply and one image per piece of equipment. Photos can be imported from your device camera roll file. You can view their tutorial on YouTube.

But what’s really interesting with digital scrapbooking is that it’s way cheaper than the traditional process. By downloading free applications on your Smartphone and tablet, you get to enjoy scrapbooking right at your finger tips. You don’t need to go to a store to buy various supplies and equipments – just purchase the app on the App Store or Google Play and it will guide you on various ready-to-use frames, fonts, colors and themes you can apply on your photos.
