I am still in shock that October is here already! With that being said it is also world cardmaking day again.
In honor of world cardmaking day I stole a few minutes of time to whip up three cards. I used some of my favorite techniques to make these cards and I am very pleased with how they turned out.
The favorite techniques that I used were stamping (oh how I love stamping), embossing (don’t we all just have tons of embossing folders lying around), and color shine (is color shine a technique, maybe it’s called misting).
Anyways I made a cute little Christmas card. This card is only 4×4 and I love how cute and small it is. This just might be the card that I send out for Christmas. I embossed the silver little strip of paper and stamped the ornament with the October stamp of the month and cut it with the Cricut art philosophy cartridge.
A thanksgiving card. This card is an A2 sized card and I dont usually make cards in landscape format but it was the only way the stamp would fit. Then I stamped the leaves on the inside and embossed a strip of orange paper with the pumpkin embossing folder and adhered it to the inside.
And last but not least a Love card in honor of WCMD and operation write home. This card is also A2 sized and I embossed the silver piece of paper with my heart embossing folder. Next I used one of my project life watercolor cards from the Heidi Swapp line. I stamped the inside of the card with Love from the September stamp of the month, which I think is by far one of my favorite stamp sets.
What are your plans for world cardmaking day? My post is linked up over at the Operation Write Home site as well. You should link up too.
