Hello everyone and welcome to the SpiegelMom Scraps Sparklers Monthly blog hop! The Sparklers are split into two teams; The Blog Squad and the YouTube Squad. Each month we come together to hang out here and bring you some great tips, technique and inspiration! For this hop, you should have arrived here from Khristina’s amazing blog. I absolutely LOVE her layout!!
Today I am sharing with you my Day in the Life project that I completed in my Travelers Notebook with tons of amazing products from the Spiegelmoms Scraps and a 6×6 pad from Amy Tangerine (Better Together). I really enjoyed creating my Day in the Life in the Travelers Notebook and using the photos from the Collect App made it really easy to put everything together. My biggest problem with projects like this is that they never seem to get done. So I was very happy when I finished this mini album in less then a day (when does that ever happen)?
This month was the first month that I used the Coco Daisy Midori Kit and I must say that I really enjoyed filling my Midori with my bullet journaling and just an overall brain dump area at the end of everyday. I think next month I might break the book down into actual sections but I haven’t actually decided.
As soon as I received my March Kit I did a little unboxing video for you so that you could see how the kits come and all the awesome goodies inside the kit. Now I have taught you how to create your own Midori insert in this post here but if you don’t have the time for that these kits are a great alternative or you could just shop your stash and create your own kit! Oh that would be a lot of fun and one that I just might try in the near future.
Let me also mention that these Midori inserts are perfect for the 30 days of lists challenge that starts March 1st. I am super excited for this challenge and I am looking forward to documenting my month. I hope you join me for 30 days of lists and create a snapshot of your life with me. I am so excited to be a part of the 30 days of lists that is coming next month (March, can you believe it’s going to be March soon)? 30 days of lists was created by Amy and Kam these two wonderful ladies and it’s all about listing. I like that the ladies do this every quarter because it’s a way to see where you are or what your interests are at certain times a year. There is nothing better than taking a look at what your current interests are and then being able to look back at them later. The listing itself can be as simple or as creative as you want it to be.
In honor of 30 days of lists I thought it would be a great time to share with you a tutorial on how to make your own Midori travelers notebook insert. I don’t know about you but I think I am addicted to these little books and my Midori notebooks! I truly love the size and how portable they are and just jotting down my daily life stuff. Have you tried the Midori travelers notebooks?
You can make your own books with supplies that I am sure many of you already have on hand, all you need is a pretty piece of double-sided cardstock cut down to 8.75×8.25 and some paper for the inside of your book. I like to use regular printer paper or a lighter weight paper for the inside of my book. You will also cuts these pieces of paper down to 8.75×8.25. Now I will say that I use 16 sheets of paper for the inside of my book but you can use less or more if you choose to. Although I personally wouldn’t go over 20 sheets of paper because you don’t want your book to be too thick. I sew mine together but there are techniques that you could use to staple yours.
Here is the tutorial so that you can make your own Midori travelers notebook and join me for the 30 days of lists challenge in March. All you have to do to sign up is click here and then we can have fun together.

Ahhhhh as soon as I found out how awesome Midori Travelers Notebooks were I became hooked and now I am in love with them. then I found out that Coco Daisy has a kit just for the travelers notebooks and I had to have it so I did what any sane girl would do I signed up for my first subscription.
I created a short video showing you how I am using my February Midori kit from Cooco Daisy. I really like using this travelers notebook for bullet journaling as well as a brain dump area. I have found that it is good for me to dump my thoughts at the end of the day. What do you use your planners for?
